New Neighborhood Search Capability

Google Maps has recently rolled-out the ability to search across neighborhoods and states.

You can now do searches such as bagels upper west side ny and ikea california on Google Maps. This is very cool because it allows you
to do city-level searches where the city is uniquely named, regardless of size, such as bakery round rock or creameries brenham.

Check it out!

Dear Roger,
I have never used a blog before, but am very interested in finding out how Google Maps can help us with mapping an upcoming sailing voyage. How do I go about getting more information about how to do this?
Thank you.

Google has neighborhood data for many, many cities in the US, some of which are quite obscure. It's a great search feature.
